Class Sessions TRI’s classes are held Monday through Thursday evenings and on Saturday mornings. Riders are scheduled for one class per week for sessions of 5-7 weeks during the spring, summer and fall. Group lessons are 45 minutes with 2-3 students per class and private lessons are 30 minutes. Length of lesson time is determined by each student’s ability. Lesson Fees Lessons are $30 per class for Group lessons and $35 per class for Private lessons. Program Costs Scholarship funds and other donations are used to cover the difference between student fees and actual costs. Other program costs include: horse board and care, arena time for classes, mailings, insurance, NARHA membership, instructor and volunteer training, contracted fees for instructors, volunteer coordinator, and equine manager. Volunteers donate their time for all administrative, organizational and other services. Referrals Students are referred to the program by parents, agencies, schools, and health care professionals. All students must be referred by their physician with supportive information from referral source. Each student is evaluated by the TRI staff before being accepted into the program. |
